Thanks to its orange-brown patina, the CARREZ corten steel planter will bring boldness and warmth to any landscape. An organic layer of rust created this patina. Corten steel also goes by the moniker "weathering steel," and the planter benefits from weather conditions.
Iron is mixed with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium to create corten steel, a metal alloy. Rust builds up as a protective layer on the material when it is exposed to air. Its organic coating stops additional corrosion, extending the useful life of the planter.
Details:
- Five-year warranty.
- Corten steel planters are extremely sturdy, waterproof, low-maintenance, and long-lasting.
- There are feet and drainage holes on the planter. They provide for the best drainage and allow the planter to float 90 mm above the ground.
- This planter is simple to move, for instance with a dolly, thanks to the feet on the base.
- The typical thickness of the corten steel is 2 mm. Other thicknesses can also be provided.
- One can customise the planter.
- The delivered goods are free of rust. Depending on the weather, the rusting process for corten steel takes roughly 4-5 months.
- Using Owatrol will remove the rust. A protective anti-rust coating is created by this penetrating rust inhibitor. Owatrol shields the planter and prevents corten steel from flaking off due to rust.

- To relieve any retained moisture in the container, products should be quickly unpacked after delivery. Uneven rust patches may appear on the product if it is kept in its package.
- Don't forget to drain properly.
- There shouldn't be any extra water in the corten steel planter; do not utilise an overflow pipe. As a result of the interaction between oxygen and soil, the metal may corrode.
- Use hydro pellets sparingly since they retain moisture.
- Within two kilometres of a shoreline, corten steel is not advised for use.
- If you drill or grind in an unspecified manner, the warranty is null and void.
- Rust run-off could be brought on by weathering.
PLANTING TIPS:
- Add a layer of gravel (about 10 cm, 35 mm grade) to the planter's bottom.
- The gravel should be covered with a permeable anti-root membrane.
- Add soil that is appropriate for the plants you have chosen to the membrane.
- Use no overflow pipes; the corten steel planter should be completely dry.
